Description
Eighty9 Coffee No. 19 Uganda – 250g
This is the first year that Naturals have been produced by the Great Lakes Coffee farmer group. This particular lot of coffee is contributed to by 467 smallholders from the Great Lakes Coffee group. Each farm has an average of 1,600 trees, making them relatively large farms for the region.
Freshly picked cherries from the Kapchorwa and Bulambuli districts are collected and transported to Sironko for drying. The process here for these cherries was to float, sort and then dry for 18 days on raised African beds. The resulting quality provides a distinctly different profile from the Western Uganda Naturals, ensuring a varied taste profile across all Ugandan Naturals
Why No. 19? – 19% of Uganda’s yearly exports are coffee beans
